Everything of Handong, from 1995 to 2024

A text-mining of 7,857 news articles about Handong Global University drawn from BigKinds and spanning 1995-2024, combining TF-IDF frequency analysis, lexicon-based sentiment scoring, and Structural Topic Modeling (STM) in R.

It surfaces six recurring topics — Christian identity, legal matters, faculty diplomatic commentary, admissions, personnel news, and outside recognition — finds coverage skews positive overall, and shows conservative outlets covering the university’s Christian identity more often than other outlets do.
